Aperitif, aperitivus "which opens"

Our fermented products were born during home aperitifs.
After a day spent between work, home and family commitments, for us an aperitif is a moment of pure relaxation.
We created our kefirs as an alternative to the alcohol-based aperitif, we were looking for something that would give us the same satisfaction and pleasure, combined with a positive effect on our health and a touch of color that makes everything even more beautiful. And of course fermented vegetables can be the undisputed protagonists of a special aperitif, even as a "secret" ingredient.
The custom of the aperitif has very ancient origins. In the 5th century BC, Hippocrates prescribed his patients a drink made from wine and macerated flowers to cure loss of appetite. In ancient Rome, they drank "musulm" made from wine and honey. Today, the aperitif occupies an important chapter in world gastronomic culture with famous and international cocktails and dishes created to accompany this moment of pleasure and sociality.
The aperitif was therefore created to "open", to stimulate the sensation of hunger, to tease what will come next.
An aperitif therefore represents an appetizer, a welcome to a lunch or dinner that also creates the physiological conditions to stimulate the appetite and digestion.
And it's also a moment of pleasant and fun socializing.
Why not think of an aperitif based on fermented foods? Taking advantage of the beauty and the complex and particular taste of these foods that give a touch of color, flavor and well-being.
We love to offer special aperitifs with family and friends, and above all we like the idea of creating healthy, colorful and tasty aperitifs.
All our fermented vegetables are ideal to combine with crostini, canapés and bruschetta, the fermented brines can be added to hummus, mayonnaise and creams based on legumes and vegetables and give a touch of taste, complexity and color. The fermented mixed vegetables are good, tasty and crunchy and their flavor and texture stimulate the taste buds and appetite.
Kefir is a fizzy drink that can be enjoyed at any time and on any occasion, but is particularly suitable for aperitifs, enjoyed on its own but also mixed in cocktails for a special touch of taste and color.
Today we propose one of our home aperitifs, we are very happy to share it with you and we hope that it can become a little bit yours too! And above all that it can make these days of happy Holidays even more special, fun and tasty.
