Benefit, from "Beneficio - Bene facere - Doing Well"

When the VIVI ferments project was born we immediately decided that it would not be just a new entrepreneurial adventure. We also wanted to do something else, something tangible, something that could leave a mark, a positive mark, for us, for the people who would consume our products and for the entire planet.
This is why we have chosen to be a BENEFIT Company, this is why our corporate purpose includes the commitment to taking care of our objectives of "doing well" and creating widespread well-being.
Benefit Corporations are an evolution of the classic concept of a company and represent the expression of a more advanced paradigm that considers that profit objectives must be combined with the aim of having a positive impact on society and the environment, through the creation of shared value.
Benefit Companies in our legal system do not benefit from any tax or social security relief and voluntarily pursue, in the exercise of their business activity, also common benefit purposes, responsibly, in an ethical, sustainable and transparent manner.
With every step we take on this planet we have a strong impact on the ecosystem: taking light and gentle steps should be our first thought every day. We are often led to consider that changes must take place outside of us and we do not consider that even a tiny change can have a planetary resonance. Furthermore, our internal ecosystem is strongly connected to the ecosystem of the planet we live in.
Thinking and acting with this awareness allows us to live in greater harmony with ourselves, with the environment and with the rhythms of creation.
BEING GOOD - DOING GOOD are two strongly connected ways of living and acting and are integral parts of our entrepreneurial vocation.
A vocation that comes from the desire to create a valuable food, good from all points of view and that also speaks of ethics, sustainability, kindness and care.
Doing “well” is therefore our first necessity and our products are made well because we carefully select the raw materials, we transform them with knowledge, extreme care and attention and in our production cycles we consider our impact on the environment, making choices that are also good for the planet.
The raw materials we use are of high quality, they come from selected companies that grow organically and, depending on availability, also biodynamically. We are also trying to develop a network of local companies to supply our products.
Networking is another of our missions, which is why some of our products are born from virtuous collaborations with professionals in the cooking and fermentation sector.
All our production processes are completely handcrafted, this guarantees particular care and attention and above all uniqueness to each single jar or bottle of our products.
We use recyclable packaging, our jars and drinks are stored in glass and all our labels are paper.
We try to minimize waste production as much as possible, all the waste from our production is not even disposed of in the organic waste collection but is donated to a farm that hosts hundreds of animals saved from suffering, for these animals they are not waste but precious nourishment.
Furthermore, our foods are not simply food, but they are also beneficial, we truly believe that food can be our first medicine and fermented foods have the power to “do good”, they are nutritionally very rich and contain hundreds of millions of beneficial microorganisms and in great variety.
But we have already told you about this in detail in this article .
We conclude by saying that ethical and sustainable choices can often seem more difficult to contemplate and above all to implement, but by keeping the bar of our values straight we are certain that some extra effort will be rewarded. Furthermore, it is small virtuous gestures that generate great changes, while today's unethical choices have irreversible repercussions on our future.
Every day we should make choices with the awareness that performing gestures of care and kindness is a balm for our conscience and therefore for our well-being.
