Impact Report 2025
The Impact Report describes the activities undertaken, results achieved, and the objectives that guide our journey as a Benefit Corporation.
Download the 2025 Impact ReportWe are a Benefit Corporation and produce plant-based, organic, live, and unpasteurized foods. Through fermentation, we aim to contribute to a more conscious food system that respects people, the earth, and natural processes.
At VIVI ferments, sustainability concerns how we do business, choose raw materials, produce, build relationships, and envision the future.
To observe, measure, and communicate our impact, we have chosen to articulate our commitment across five areas, which reflect the different dimensions of how we generate value:
1. Governance and benefit model
2. Raw materials, environment, and natural processes
3. Products, customers, and food well-being
4. Fermentation culture, community, and territory
5. People, skills, and craftsmanship
These areas guide the interpretation of activities undertaken, results achieved, and the objectives with which we intend to continue to improve. In the following documents, we transparently describe the journey we have embarked on, the responsibilities we have taken on, and the direction in which we want to grow.

Our decisions concern not only the growth of the company but also the effects we generate on people, the supply chain, the territory, the environment, and food culture. The Impact Report allows us to describe the journey undertaken, measure the results, and more clearly define future objectives.

The quality of our products begins long before fermentation. It stems from the choice of vegetables, how they are grown, and the people who care for them.
We select certified organic, seasonal, and traceable raw materials. We collaborate with farms and producer networks with whom we share an emphasis on quality, biodiversity, soil fertility, and fair supply chain relationships.
Knowing the origin of ingredients also means knowing the territories, companies, and stories behind each product.

Producing live foods requires expertise, responsibility, and clear information. We guarantee the traceability of raw materials and batches, operate according to food safety procedures, and maintain organic certification. We are also committed to communicating accurately and verifiably, providing clear information on ingredients, storage, and consumption methods.
For us, trust arises from the consistency between what we say, what we do, and what reaches people's tables.
We consider every raw material a resource to be used with respect. For this reason, we work to prevent avoidable food waste, maximize the value of what enters the laboratory, and reduce waste generated by production processes.
Our products are packaged in glass jars with aluminum caps, recyclable materials suitable for food preservation. We also monitor energy consumption and are making the collection of data related to water, waste, packaging, and emissions more structured.
We know that environmental improvement is a continuous journey: better measurement helps us make better choices.

We don't want to limit ourselves to selling fermented products. We want to help make fermentation more known, understandable, and accessible.
Through informative content, newsletters, events, tastings, courses, and workshops, we explain what fermented foods are, how they are preserved, and how they can be incorporated into daily life.
We also envision a space where production, training, research, dissemination, territory, and community can grow together.

Behind every product there are people, skills, and daily actions. We want to build a safe, respectful, and collaborative work environment where everyone can feel involved and contribute to the growth of the project.
The same commitment guides relationships with suppliers, customers, distributors, partners, and the community. Our Code of Ethics outlines the principles we consider fundamental: integrity, transparency, quality, environmental sustainability, fairness in the supply chain, responsible communication, and respect for people.
Because a living enterprise is, first and foremost, a network of relationships.

We do not consider sustainability a goal already achieved, but a direction along which to continue to learn, measure, and improve.
We want to grow without losing the artisanal care that defines us, building a company capable of generating economic, social, cultural, and environmental value.
